Graduate Positions with the Berryman Institute

There are a number of openings with the Jack H. Berryman Institute (BI) The BI has a mission of reducing wildlife damage and resolving human-wildlife conflicts through teaching, research and extension. Utah State University

If you are interested in a possible graduate position with Utah State University, email a letter of interest containing your background, a statement of why you want to go to graduate school and join the BI, what you want to be doing 20 years from now, and GPA and GRE scores to Dr. du Toit at johan.dutoit@usu.edu or mail it to Dr. Johan du Toit, Berryman Institute, Utah State University, Logan, UT 84322-5270.

In addition, prospective graduate students may contact faculty members on the attached list to express an interest in joining that individual's lab and determine if he/she is accepting new students. Contact information for these faculty members can be found by visiting the College of Natural Resources website.

To apply to the School of Graduate Studies at Utah State University, you must submit your application along with a $50 application fee, two official transcripts from each college or university attended, and your GRE scores. Generally, the requirements for admission are a GPA of 3.2+, and combined verbal and quantitative GRE scores of 1100+. Mississippi State University

If you are interested in a possible graduate position with Mississippi State University, visit the MSU Graduate School website to apply on-line or download an application.

For admission criteria and specific information for a Master's of Science in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries or a Doctorate in Forest Resources with an emphasis in wildlife ecology, fisheries ecology, or aquaculture, please visit http://www.msstate.edu/dept/grad/html/05_06_WildlifeFisheries.htm.

In addition, prospective graduate students may contact faculty members to express an interest in joining that individual's research and determine if he/she is accepting new students. Contact information for these faculty members can be found by visiting the departmental website.

To apply to the School of Graduate Studies at Mississippi State University, you must submit your application along with a $30 application fee (nonrefundable), statement of purpose, three (3) letters of recommendation, GRE or GMAT scores, and a signed Computer Certification Form (if applying electronically. Generally, the requirements for admission are a GPA of 3.0+, and must have taken and submitted scores for the general GRE.
